CHALLENGE
Our customer located in the west of France, operating in the scrap sector since 1965, needed to replace their old TAURUS 500 shear baler, a machine that is dated, however, despite being 15 years old is still able to manage high volumes work as required by the company and in line with market demands.
APPROACH
Five years ago, the French company approached C. E G. to carry out a major overhaul of its old TAURUS 500. The shear baler has since continued to work at full capacity. Nevertheless, the increase of material to be processed convinced our customer to opt for the purchase of a new TAURUS ACH 773. A new machine that is faster, more efficient, with a greater cutting capacity of 750 tons, able to shear: light, heavy and demolition scrap and thus able to guarantee greater productivity. The machine has been equipped with technical components such as: key-pattern box floor, remote connection, teleservice that allows to program any necessary maintenance to guarantee correct functioning of the shear.
RESULTS
The customer decided to renew his choice by purchasing their third TAURUS press and shear. The new ACH773 allows them to increase their production, handle particularly bulky materials thanks to the 7 m box, and reduce labour costs by relying on remote diagnostics and monitoring technologies that allow to control and manage the machine directly from the loader.
